The ‘1977 alien broadcast’ was a well-known broadcast interruption that occurred in the United Kingdom on 26 November 1977. The disruption took place on Southern ITV, with an audio message superimposed onto the normal TV broadcast, accompanied by some video distortion. The message was given in an authoritative manner, as an extraterrestrial warning to humanity. The full audio transcript is copied at the end of this section.

We won’t discuss many details here as the event has been covered in several places. Even though there has been a significant effort to dismiss it as an obvious hoax (without proof), the event remains unexplained.

Very little attention has been given to the actual message content itself, which almost never appeared in any media at the time, other than a few loose excerpts that were placed out of context, and often completely misquoted.

This event offers a very interesting case study to compare against the vast channeled material received from extraterrestrials, where the human brain normally acts as intermediate. Here, the event was a direct transmission with no intermediate agent.

As we argue below, the message content is entirely consistent with everything we have learned since the initial extraterrestrial messages started to be received (circa late 1940s).

The warning bears extreme relevance in the world of today, where tough choices will have to be made regarding atomic energy, climate change and environmental degradation. The core focus of the message is about our deviation from cosmic law, and how we are taking care of ourselves, and our own planet.

We here provide the following points, hoping that this exercise will encourage further research and discussions:

1. The message content is perfectly logical, even more so today as we finally come to grips with the realization that we either change or we will end up destroying ourselves. The message is metaphysically sound, and entirely appropriate from a cosmic viewpoint;

2. The message contains certain factors that could have been known only by a high adept of metaphysics, especially in those days. For instance, it refers to “evil forces that can overshadow the judgment of our leaders”. This is a veiled reference to lower astral interference, specifically targeting those who are in power. Even today this condition remains largely unknown by most of the public. Our official science hasn’t even recognized the continuity of life after death, which would be the first step to start understanding the other planes of existence, and their influences on our lives;

3. Point two proves that only an adept could have written the message. Therefore there are two options, an adept of the dark path or an adept of light. There are no other categories. We can safely conclude that an adept of the dark path would not benefit in any way from such a message. Therefore, the answer must be an adept of light;

4. Having ascertained that the message must have been written by an adept of light, it follows that, by definition, the main purpose of the broadcast disruption event must have been to stimulate the mental pattern of the race. While it is very unlikely that an adept of light would claim the source to be extraterrestrial if that wasn’t the case, we must also note that the content stands by its own merits, regardless of its source;

5. By the arguments above, we conclude that the chance of the event being a hoax, or a meaningless prank for fun, as portrayed by media and authorities, is very low. We must also bear in mind that the interruption was no small achievement, as many have wrongly reported. The interruption was placed in such a manner that the TV network was completely unaware of what was happening throughout the whole time. It is almost inconceivable that a group capable of such a feat would choose to remain silent regarding their authorship for such a long time. To this day, no terrestrial body has claimed authorship for the event. It’s also important to remember that the so-called “Ashtar command” movement on the Internet did not exist at the time. The event pre-dates its conception. Only those intimate with the work of the early contactees already knew the name ‘Ashtar’ and his cosmic work at the time, but the idea of a galactic command with a possible representation on Earth wasn’t at all clear;

6. For those wondering about the ‘English accent’ of the speaker, poor quality of the transmission, etc, we must remember that the extraterrestrials are not permitted to interfere directly in our affairs. Even to get karmic permission to deliver a message such as this would have involved a quite complex set of requirements. Some of these requirements could have been to use an Earth representative, who could have been a Master of the spiritual hierarchy living in disguise amongst us, and/or other methods unknown to us. It’s also entirely possible that human equipment had to be used to cause the broadcast disruption, as a requirement abiding to the law of non-interference. We know that our extraterrestrial neighbors can easily cause a disruption in all our communication systems simultaneously, and remotely without leaving their planets, if they so wish (if such an intervention was actually permitted). Karmic limitation may also explain why a larger TV network with a bigger audience was not chosen;

7. Interestingly, a very important part of the message has been erased from all audio recordings available to the public on the Internet today, which are all reconstructions of the event. Mysteriously, the reconstructed material has also been edited in such a way as to make it impossible to notice that something is actually missing from the message. Fortunately, at least one UFO research group managed to obtain the full original recording at the time. This was only possible after months of perseverance, and despite official denials that such material existed. Thanks to this early effort we still have the entire message preserved today, even though the full recording is not on the Internet;

8. It’s understood that the TV network itself never recorded the message in their main monitor. The disruption bypassed their control system altogether, and was only heard from outside. Southern ITV was therefore completely oblivious to what was happening, and powerless to cut off the transmission (by law, all radio and TV stations have a monitoring system for instant switch-off in cases like this). TV reports and conventional media outlets at the time only showed a brief 30-second excerpt of the total five and a half minutes transmission, often with gross distortions in the newspapers. We understand that the correct entire segment was never played or analyzed in full by any television or mainstream media outlet.

This is the voice of Gramaha, the Representative of the Asta (Ashtar in some texts) Galactic Command speaking to you.

For many years now you have seen us as lights in the skies. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet earth. We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your worlds so that you may communicate to your fellow beings the course you must take to avoid the disasters which threaten your worlds and the beings on our worlds around you.

This is in order that you may share in the great awakening, as the planet passes into the New Age of Aquarius. The new age can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers are made aware of the evil forces that can overshadow their judgments.

Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again. For many years your scientists, governments and generals have not heeded our warnings; they have continued to experiment with the evil forces of what you call nuclear energy. Atomic bombs can destroy the earth and the beings of your sister worlds, in a moment.

The wastes from atomic power systems will poison your planet for many thousands of your years to come. We, who have followed the path of evolution for far longer than you, have long since realized this — that atomic energy is always directed against life. It has no peaceful application. Its use, and research into its use, must be ceased at once, or you all risk destruction. All weapons of evil must be removed.

The time of conflict is now past and the race of which you are a part may proceed to the highest planes of evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this.

You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace and goodwill. Small groups all over the planet are learning this, and exist to pass on the light of the dawning new age to you all. You are free to accept or reject their teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will pass to the higher realms of spiritual evolution.

Hear now the voice of Gramaha, the representative of the Asta (Ashtar in some texts) Galactic Command speaking to you. Be aware also that there are many false prophets and guides operating on your world. They will suck your energy from you — the energy you call money and will put it to evil ends giving you worthless dross in return.

Your inner divine self will protect you from this. You must learn to be sensitive to the voice within, that can tell you what is truth, and what is confusion, chaos and untruth. Learn to listen to the voice of truth which is within you, and you will lead yourselves on to the path of evolution.

This is our message to you our dear friends. We have watched you growing for many years as you too have watched our lights in your skies. You know that we are here, and that there are more beings on and around your earth than your scientists admit. We are deeply concerned about you and your path towards the light, and will do all we can to help you.

Have no fears, seek only to know yourselves and live in harmony with the ways of your planet earth. We of the Asta Galactic Command thank you for your attention. We are now leaving the planes of your existence.

May you be blessed by the supreme love and truth of the Cosmos.

*Note: In the reconstruction, the fundamental advice regarding nuclear energy (red excerpt) is left out. In fact, no mention to nuclear energy at all is made. Who is to benefit from the removal of the red excerpt? Why has it been left out of the reconstruction? Is this message a threat to those who want to proceed with business as usual, refusing to see beyond their own selfish egos?

 

Metaphysical Interpretation of the message

The 1977 message makes the following points clear:

1. There exists a galactic command of light in our Milky Way; therefore there is law and order in the cosmos. The wrong thoughts and actions of humanity got to a point in which it was necessary that this cosmic effort initiated a concerted approach. They are doing everything they can (lawfully) in order to prevent a major catastrophe caused by our stupidity, and at the same time are offering to help with our spiritual evolution;

2. Atomic bombs can destroy/affect not only the physical Earth, but also the additional spiritual dimensions that are part of the planet itself: e.g. the astral plane, mental plane and etheric plane with their many layers, where most humans take residence after death, and wait to reincarnate (reference to ‘your worlds’ used in the plural);

3. There are evil forces that want to control/enslave humanity. These forces are targeting our leaders, deceiving them into exercising their free will in dark ways, not taking the right actions in order to improve conditions for all life on Earth. The message implies that “we cannot fight what we cannot see”, and hence basic spiritual/metaphysical education is required. Knowledge of survival of death, and law of karma, would be in our opinion the most basic requirement to start steering humanity in the right direction towards the required learning;

4. That we need to learn stillness (“be still now and listen”). This is a yogic principle of seeking knowledge and wisdom through a concerted effort towards Samadhi. The message is implying that we must learn to be still if we are to ever be capable of understanding the true meaning of what they’re trying to convey;

5. That the extraterrestrials understand atomic energy as form of energy manifestation that should not be brought about unnaturally. That continuous research into this form of energy will never lead to ultimate enlightenment of any planetary race;

6. That the planet must enter a period of peace under the influence of a new cosmic cycle, and that we have very little time to adapt. There is a huge implication here that those who cannot learn to live in peace will be removed from the Earth in the near future, one way or another;

7. That we must learn meditation, and strive with concrete efforts towards Samadhi, by means of inner education, so that we can learn to tap from the spiritual wisdom from within. This wisdom is also called “divine intuition” sometimes. A hint is also given that, if we learn to treat the Earth with respect and reverence as a living being (not as a garbage tip as we currently do), we will then be able to connect with our inner selves much more easily, becoming more easily attuned to the cosmic system.

 

Final considerations

Why are we so arrogant as a species that we have failed to stop and listen to the inner voice which tells us that everything that is stated in the 1977 alien broadcast is actually very true, regardless of what the source might be? Why are we more interested in the “English accent” of the voice, rather than an analysis of the actual content?

As we write this, the Fukushima disaster is far from over. More than seven years after the disaster, radioactive water is still flowing into the Pacific Ocean, and the authorities are completely powerless to make it stop. The full extent of the environmental damage will likely take many decades to be known, and many centuries in order to be completely decontaminated.

Those who have thoroughly studied the extraterrestrial messages from many years are now fully convinced that there is no place, and indeed no need, for nuclear energy in the new age. In fact, we are consistently told that we are only still alive thanks to the massive clean up that their etheric ships have been doing in our atmosphere, since the first atomic bomb explosions.

Other forms of clean and abundant energy are readily available in the cosmos (e.g. zero point energy from the vacuum, or etheric lines of force, and magnetism). They are used by the extraterrestrials to move freely through space. Many people already know this. These forms of energy can have zero cost, and will become available to us when we learn to live in peace.

We provide below an example of typical media coverage at the time. The article below was sourced by UPI, and distributed to newspapers in the United States on 28 November 1977, two days after the event. Note how the very serious and important part about nuclear energy is completely left out. The message has also been thoroughly distorted, including a reference to “leaving the galaxy” which was never transmitted in the actual broadcast. All the crucial part about the fact that the extraterrestrials have been here for a long time trying to warn us, and that our scientists, governments and generals have completely ignored their warning, was also excluded. We can clearly see how the distortions and manipulation are actively employed, to lead the public to immediately ridicule the event.
